  • To cultivate & maintain media relations; coordinate media inquiries and proactively identify and secure editorial and interview opportunities.
  • To be responsible for and be proactive in assisting the Head of Department and manager in implementing strategic PR programmes to achieve the desired corporate image.
  • To develop key messages for media interviews and press releases and to respond to requests for information by the media.
  • To actively follow-through planned media relations programs including building a strong media contact network with journalist, writers, photographers, bloggers across a variety of media, serve as liaison person to the media , filter and attend to press inquiries including arrangement of interviews and media events.
  • To assist in the preparation and coordination of public announcements, press and other information releases.
  • Media monitoring and compilation of publicity initiatives.
  • To supervise & perform editorial task that include drafting, editing, proof-reading, translations for brochures, newsletter, website content, press releases, speeches and other related press material.

 

 

The Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication/Public Relations/Journalism or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in relevant field with strong PR and networking skills.
  • Young, dynamic with good disposition.
  • Good report writing skills and project management skills.
  • Innovative, resourceful, analytical and result oriented.
  • Sound planning and time management skills.
  • Sound organizational, execution and problem solving skills.
  • Good relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Work well independently and effectively in a team.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet the deadlines.
  • Have a positive attitude with a high degree of initiative and drive.
  • Good command of Bahasa Malaysia & English, both verbal & written.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
